Lentil Soup

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/2 lb italian sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 large carrot, chopped
  • 2 (21 ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes (with liquid)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 cup dry lentils, rinsed

Recipe

  • 1 brown sausage; drain off fat.
  • 2 in a soup pot add sausage and next nine ingredients; bring to a boil.
