Potato Soup

Total Time: 4 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1 1/2 cups onions, diced
  • 4 cups potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan and saute onions until translucent. drain bacon grease.
  • 2 boil potatoes in water and salt until fork tender - no need to drain.
  • 3 add pepper, onions, cream of chicken soup and milk. i usually put in the crock pot at this point to heat up and keep warm.
  • 4 if rushed for time, you can heat this on the stove.
  • 5 just before serving, add crispy bacon and sour cream.
