Potato Soup

Total Time: 3 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • 10 lbs potatoes, boiled peeled
  • 1 lb butter
  • 16 ounces bacon, fried and drained
  • 2 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 2/3 cup instant minced onion
  • 2/3 gallon milk
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 4 tablespoons pepper

Recipe

  • 1 boil potato's 1 hour 15 minutes.
  • 2 while potatoes are cooking, cook bacon until it is cooked completly until very crispy.
  • 3 drain bacon and save 2 tablespoons of the grease.
  • 4 crumble bacon into small pieces.
  • 5 after potatoes are cooked, remove potato skins.
  • 6 cut potatoes into pieces.
  • 7 add milk.
  • 8 add butter.
  • 9 add salt.
  • 10 add pepper.
  • 11 add dried minced onions.
  • 12 add crumbled bacon.
  • 13 add bacon grease.
  • 14 cook over low heat stirring constantly.
