Potato Soup

Ingredients

- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 2 medium onions, sliced thin
- 1 quart milk, hot
- 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
- 1 teaspoon salt, pepper
- parsley
Recipe
- 1 in a large saucepan add the onions and potatoes.
- 2 cover with boiling, salted water.
- 3 cook until the vegetables are tender.
- 4 drain and reserve the water.
- 5 mash the potatoes; add the bacon drippings and seasoning.
- 6 add hot milk gradually and blend well.
- 7 if too thick, you can thin with potato water or hot milk.
- 8 season to taste.
- 9 when ready to serve, sprinkle with chopped parsley or paprika.
