German Potato Soup

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 10 -12 medium sized potatoes
- 2 medium onions
- water
- 1 -2 teaspoon summer savory
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 -3 cups buttermilk
- 3 -4 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 peel, wash and cube potatoes.
- 2 add chopped onions and savoury.
- 3 add just enough water to almost cover the potatoes.
- 4 salt to taste.
- 5 boil until potatoes are tender.
- 6 remove from heat.
- 7 let cool a few minutes.
- 8 add cream and buttermilk.
- 9 return to medium low heat.
- 10 slightly thicken soup with flour and water mixture.
