Lentil Soup

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 25 g butter or 25 g margarine
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 liters ham stock (you can use cubes)
  • 300 g lentils (red, don't soak them a wash will do)
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 melt your butter in a heavy soup pot.
  • 2 add your choped onion, and soften in the butter,then add your flour and cook out the rawness for a few minutes.
  • 3 add your stock and stir well.
  • 4 then add your lentils and stir well again.
  • 5 at this point add your salt and pepper, but taste as some tastes vary.
  • 6 bring to the boil and turn down to a simmer.
  • 7 stir frequently so it won't catch on the bottom.
