Lentil Soup

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 25 g butter or 25 g margarine
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 liters ham stock (you can use cubes)
- 300 g lentils (red, don't soak them a wash will do)
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 melt your butter in a heavy soup pot.
- 2 add your choped onion, and soften in the butter,then add your flour and cook out the rawness for a few minutes.
- 3 add your stock and stir well.
- 4 then add your lentils and stir well again.
- 5 at this point add your salt and pepper, but taste as some tastes vary.
- 6 bring to the boil and turn down to a simmer.
- 7 stir frequently so it won't catch on the bottom.
