- 2 cups split peas
- 1 cup lentils
- 9 cups water
- 2 lbs ham, diced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup sliced carrot
Recipe
- 1 add all ingredients to large stock pot.
- 2 bring to boil.
- 3 lower heat, simmer 60-90 minutes.
- 4 add 1 cup water or chicken broth to thin if desired.
