Onion Chowder

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 cups onions, finely chopped in food processor
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • fresh ground pepper

Recipe

  • 1 boil onions in salted water for 30 minutes. remove from heat, add milk, and return almost to boiling.
  • 2 blend butter and flour; stir into soup; cook and stir until slightly thickened (about 5 minutes).
