Janet Millard's Party Perfect Potatoes

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 medium potatoes, unpeeled and boiled or 1 (32 ounce) package frozen hash browns
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup corn flakes, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 boil (whole) potatoes, and allow to cool.
  • 2 peel and shred (whole) potatoes.
  • 3 place potatoes in 9"x13" casserole dish.
  • 4 melt butter in 2-quart (2-liter) sauce pan.
  • 5 add onions and saute.
  • 6 add soup, sour cream and cheese.
  • 7 pour sauce over potatoes in casserole dish.
  • 8 top with corn flakes.
  • 9 bake to 300f (135c) for 30 to 45 minutes or until heated through.
