Quick Cheeseburger Chowder

Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups cubed potatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped green bell peppers
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 in a large saucepan, cook ground beef until browned; drain off any fat.
- 2 stir in potatoes, celery, onion, green pepper, bouillon cube, water and salt.
- 3 cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
- 4 whisk together flour and milk.
- 5 slowly add to meat mixture, stirring until thickened and bubbly.
- 6 add cheese and heat, stirring, just until cheese melts.
- 7 garnish with additional shredded cheese when serving, if desired.
