Potato Potato Pot Roast

Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 lbs chuck roast
  • 3 large potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 -4 carrots
  • 1 (10 ounce) can cream of potato soup, mixed with
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

Recipe

  • 1 place meat in roasting pan; surround with potatoes and carrots. parsnips might be good here also.
  • 2 season with salt and pepper and anything else you might admire. garlic?.
  • 3 mix canned soup and dry onion soup together.
  • 4 top roast with sliced onion and soup mixture.
  • 5 cover tightly with foil and/or lid.
  • 6 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  • 7 reduce heat to 225 degrees fahrenheit.
  • 8 bake for 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender.
