Mom's Breakfast Casserole

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 -8 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 -10 eggs
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campbell's cream of mushroom soup
  • 12 ounces roll breakfast sausage (i use jimmy dean's hot for extra flavor)
  • salt & pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place bread at bottom of greased glass baking dish.
  • 2 break up sausage into bite-size pieces & cook in pan.
  • 3 while sausage is cooking, mix eggs & milk in bowl.
  • 4 after sausage is done, add it to the milk & egg mixture.
  • 5 pour mixture over bread.
  • 6 cover mixture in pan with cheese.
  • 7 top off with soup.
  • 8 put in oven at 325 degrees in glass dish for about 35-40 minutes or until egg has risen and edges are bubbly (you'll know it's not done if the dish jiggles).
