- 2 heads broccoli
- salt and black pepper
- water
Recipe
- 1 cut the florets off the heads of broccoli. cut the stems into similar size pieces.
- 2 add all of the broccoli -- florets and stems -- into a pot of boiling, salted water. cover and cook for 5-10 minutes until broccoli is tender.
- 3 remove the pan from the heat and drain half of the water off into a separate container but do not discard it!
- 4 blend the broccoli and remaining water in the pan. add more of the cooking liquid as necessary to achieve the desired consistency.
- 5 season and serve.
