Hearty Hash Brown Soup

Ingredients

- 2 lbs frozen hash brown potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 3/4 cup celery, diced
- 4 cups water
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 (10 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups ham, fully cooked and diced
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Recipe
- 1 in a soup kettle or dutch oven combine the first 7 ingredients. bring to a boil.
- 2 reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- 3 mash vegetables with cooking liquid
- 4 add soup and milk, stir until smooth.
- 5 add ham, parsley and garlic salt. simmer for 10 minutes or until heated through.
- 6 garnish with bacon.
