Hearty Hash Brown Soup

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 2 lbs frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 3/4 cup celery, diced
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 (10 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups ham, fully cooked and diced
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Recipe

  • 1 in a soup kettle or dutch oven combine the first 7 ingredients. bring to a boil.
  • 2 reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • 3 mash vegetables with cooking liquid
  • 4 add soup and milk, stir until smooth.
  • 5 add ham, parsley and garlic salt. simmer for 10 minutes or until heated through.
  • 6 garnish with bacon.
