Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 2/3 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Recipe

  • 1 in large skillet, brown rice in oil, stirring constantly.
  • 2 blend in soup mix and pepper.
  • 3 stir in water; bring to a boil.
  • 4 reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
  • 5 stir in peas.
  • 6 cover and cook for 5 minutes.
